How to request a return
Every return requires Gallardo’s prior authorisation. Request it from My Gallardo → Orders → Request a return, giving the order, the part number, the quantity and the reason, and attaching photographs where the reason requires them.
Gallardo replies with the authorisation, which states the deadline for sending the part, the delivery address or the collection, and who bears the transport costs depending on the reason. Returns that have not been authorised in advance are not accepted.
Returns at the customer’s choice
Where the return is due to an ordering error or because the part is no longer needed, it must be requested within a maximum of five calendar days from receipt, and will be accepted provided the part is unfitted, unused, free of tool marks and in its complete original packaging. Return shipping costs are borne by the customer.
Items purchased specifically for the customer that are not part of the regular catalogue, and units that have been fitted or tested on a vehicle, cannot be returned.
Gallardo’s error or faulty part
Where the part supplied does not match the one ordered, arrives incomplete or has a defect attributable to Gallardo, collection and redelivery are at Gallardo’s expense, and the customer may choose between a replacement part and a refund of its price.
Transport damage
Visible damage must be recorded on the carrier’s delivery note at the time of delivery. Damage or shortages not apparent at that time must be reported within seven calendar days of receipt, with photographs of the packaging and the goods.
Cores
The deadline for returning the core is one month from the invoice date. After that period the deposit is not refunded, even if the unit arrives in perfect condition: the deposit stops being a guarantee of return and becomes part of the price of the transaction.
For the deposit to be refunded, the core must be recoverable for remanufacturing. We do not accept units that have been tampered with or previously subjected to repair attempts, mistreated or knocked, with broken, welded, cut or replaced parts, or with overheating or burn damage. When the core is received, Gallardo identifies and inspects it and, if it is accepted, issues a credit note; if it is rejected, we tell you the reason and send photographs.
You can check the status and the time remaining for each outstanding core in My Gallardo → Cores, and book the collection from the same screen. The full conditions are set out in section 8 of the general terms of sale.
Warranty
The parts supplied carry a commercial warranty of twenty-four months from the invoice date, both new parts and parts remanufactured by Gallardo: we remanufacture with the manufacturer’s original components, so the remanufactured unit has the same warranty as a new one. The warranty covers defects attributable to the part and not those resulting from incorrect fitting, contaminated fuel or tanks, failure to replace the filters, failure to bleed the system or tampering with the unit.
Every warranty claim requires prior authorisation and the unit must be sent to the laboratory for diagnosis. If the diagnosis rules out a defect attributable to the part, the diagnosis and transport costs are borne by the customer, who will be told the amount before any work is carried out. The full scope and exclusions are set out in section 9 of the general terms of sale.
Repair of the customer’s own unit
For repair requests, Gallardo diagnoses the unit received and issues a quotation. If the customer does not accept it, the unit will be returned once the diagnosis and transport costs communicated when the request was accepted have been paid. Units not collected within thirty days of the quotation being sent may be handled in accordance with waste regulations.
Refunds
Refunds are documented by a credit note referring to the original invoice and are paid using the same payment method as the purchase or by offset against the customer’s account.
